Realme Unveils Narzo Series Phones with New Design & Mediatek Chipsets
Realme completed their second anniversary and became the fourth largest smartphone brand in India. In the process to become a tech lifestyle brand they are launching multiple smartphones to ensure there are enough and more smartphones for consumers to choose from. After multiple rescheduling, Realme has finally launched the new Narzo Series – Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A. According to the company, this series is for Gen-Z youngsters in the country. Let’s take a look at what the new phones have to offer.
Narzo 10A
Beginning with the cheaper of the two, Narzo 10A has a 6.5-inch ‘Mini-drop’ HD+ IPS LCD panel of 166 x 720 resolution and has Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The phone has a new design with a vertical brand name covering the polycarbonate back. Under the hood, there is Helio G70 Chipset from Mediatek and Mali-G52 GPU. The phone comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage.
In terms of optics, the triple-rear setup starts with 12MP as the primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The secondary camera has a 2MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture for macro shots. The last camera is a 2 MP unit as well with f/2.4 aperture for depth sensing. Being a budget segment phone the 5 MP selfie snapper is housed inside a waterdrop notch.
It features a large 5,000 mAh battery complemented by a 10 Watt charger inside the box. Narzo 10A is left with a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. It will be available in So White and So Blue Colours. It weighs 195 grams and is 8.95mm thick.
Narzo 10
Narzo 10 is the phone that Realme aims to cover the segment of Rs 10K -12K with. It has the same 6.5-inch display with 166 x 720 resolution as Narzo 10A, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Unlike the other alternatives, Narzo 10 had to settle with an HD+ resolution. The phone is powered by a slightly faster Mediatek Helio G80, which makes its debut in India with the Narzo 10. The GPU tasks are handled by Mali-G52 GPU. The phone has an LPDDR4X RAM of 4 GB capacity and 128 GB storage. The polycarbonate back bears a patterned finish resembling the Realme X Master Edition.
When it comes to photography, Realme Narzo 10 packs a quad camera setup. The primary camera is a 48 MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture. It has a 6P lens to aid quality, followed by an 8 MP Ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.25 aperture. This camera has a 119-degree wide-angle vision. The other two cameras are two 2 MP sensors for depth and Marco modes. The selfies are handled by a 16 MP camera inside the water-drop notch towards the centre of the display.
It also packs a 5,000 mAh battery and comes with a faster 18W charger inside the box. The USB port gets upgraded to USB Type-C as well. It also houses a dedicated microSD card for storage expansion. It will be available in That Green and That White Colours. It weighs 199 grams and is 9mm thick.
Both phones include connectivity features like BlueTooth 5.0, 4G LTE and 2.4 GHz WiFi. Like the Narzo 10A, Narzo 10 is also based on Android 10 with Realme UI on top. The security features include a rear fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.
Pricing and Availability
The Realme Narzo 10A is priced at Rs 8,499 while the Nazro 10 is priced at Rs 11,999. Both phones will be sold via Flipkart and Realme’s online store. Narzo 10 will go on sale on May 18th while the 10A sale date is now fixed as May 22.
