LG Velvet Goes Official With Triple Rear Cameras, Snapdragon 765G SoC And More

LG has launched its new smartphone called LG Velvet with a massive change in the strategy and the same is also writing a new chapter in the mobile division of the brand. LG has launched the device with cool design along with all the modern features and specifications, the smartphone is actually a mid-range device and it also coming with the next-generation 5G connectivity. Specifications of LG Velvet

It features a 6.8-inch full-HD+ Cinema FullVision POLED display with 2460 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a waterdrop-like notch and that has a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor and paired with 8GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes with 128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage and that can be expandable upto 2 TB via microSD card.

Moving to the camera department, LG velvet smartphone features triple rear camera setup and that is in a waterfall design, the camera setup in the combination of a 48 megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture followed by an 8 megapixel Wide Angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 5 megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone also comes with a 16 megapixel front facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. The smartphone is also coming with the in-display fingerprint scanner for the additional layer of security and also supports few accessories – Wacom Stylus pen and an LG Dual Screen cover.

Regarding the connectivity options, the LG Velvet supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Moreover, the smartphone also offers an IP68-rated build that is MIL-STD-810G certified. It runs on Android 10 with LG own UI atop, and the smartphone ships on a 4,300 mAh battery, it also supports wireless charging. Finally, the LG Velvet comes in Aurora Green, Aurora Gray, Aurora White, and Illusion Sunset colour options.

Pricing and availability

The smartphone is priced at KRW 899,800, and the same will initially be available for purchase in South Korea from May 15, with its pre-orders scheduled for May 8.
