Xiaomi unveils Redmi K50 Gaming Edition

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, which has been making waves for the past few days, has been formally announced in China with the Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition. Both devices feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and the same “Dual VC” heat dissipation system. It also has quad JBL speakers, a CyberEngine ultra-wideband X-axis motor, and a special gaming antenna, as well as a 120W rapid charging solution. It’s worth noting that both devices have identical specifications, but the design and storage options distinguish them.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition has a triple rear camera arrangement, which includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor, a 6P lens with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field-of-view, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Both Redmi phones have a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging and run MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition costs CNY 3,299 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, CNY 3,599 for 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, and CNY 3,899 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The special edition Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition, on the other hand, costs CNY 4,199 and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Pre-orders for the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will begin today, and the gadget will be available in the Chinese market on February 18.
