Samsung Launches  Galaxy S22 Series In India

Following the global debut of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series last week, the South Korean electronics behemoth today unveiled its latest handsets in India, this time the Galaxy S series powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon CPU. If you keep a close eye on the smartphone industry, you’ll notice that Samsung’s Galaxy A series is regularly launched in India using Exynos processors. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra model comes with S Pen, and the newly unveiled Smartphone series comes with significant specs.

Let’s go into the details of the new Samsung smartphone series, including the specifications,  cost, and availability information.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Specification

The basic model of the series is the Samsung Galaxy S22, which has a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and an Armor Aluminium shell. Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield is also built into the smartphone’s display, which protects your eyes from blue light. It also includes a punch hole setup in the screen’s centre. The Samsung Galaxy S22 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile engine, as well as 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1).

The Samsung Galaxy S22 comes with a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, as well as 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. Out of the box, the device runs Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top.

Along with the standard security features, it also has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S22 has a larger 4,500mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. Under the hood, the phone runs Android 12 with the One UI 4.1 skin on top.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Specification

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the series’ most luxury smartphone, and it’s also the first S-series phone to include a S Pen. The S Pen has a 70 percent reduced latency than the S Pen. Moreover, it has a large 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The smartphone’s display has a peak brightness of 1,750 nits and is equipped with updated Wacom technology.

The Samsung Galaxy S22, like the other two smartphones in the series, is powered by an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12 GB of RAM. The tablet comes with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a quad rear camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens and support for 3x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/4.9 aperture lens and 10x optical zoom. With AI Super Resolution technology, the camera department also offers Space Zoom, which has a 10x optical zoom and a 10x digital zoom. On the front, the gadget has a 40-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens.

5G, 4G LTE, UWB, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port are all compatible by the smartphone. It also has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor built into the display. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery with a 45W fast charging solution, as well as 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. It’s based on Android 12 and has One UI 4.1 on top of it.

Pricing and Availability 

The 8GB + 128GB edition of the Samsung Galaxy S22 costs ₹72,999 , while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs ₹76,999 . Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Phantom Green will be the colour options for the smartphone. The 8GB + 128GB edition of the Galaxy S22+ costs ₹84,999, while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs ₹88,999. It will also be available in Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Phantom Green. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the highest model of the smartphone series, will be offered with 12GB + 256GB for ₹109,999 and 12GB + 512GB for ₹118,999. The device will be available in a variety of colours, including Burgundy, Phantom Black, and Phantom White (only 256GB).

The company has yet to publish the smartphone series’ availability specifics, although it is worth noting that Samsung is taking pre-orders for the smartphones.
