Redmi – the new sub-brand of the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 7A smartphone in the market of India. The device unveiled in the month of May and it is the successor of the Redmi 6A. The device is meant for the entry-level market and it will be a perfect companion for those who are entering into the digital world for the first time. Specifications of Redmi 7A
It sports 5.45-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 1440 X 720 pixels resolution along with the 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and it will come in two variants 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 32GB internal storage and that can be expandable up to 256 GB via MicroSD card. The smartphone is also paired with Adreno 505 GPU for the graphical task.
Talking about the camera, the Redmi 7A rocks a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 camera with PDAF and LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The company will also bring an AI Scene Detection feature through an over-the-air (OTA) update. The smartphone also supports P2i nano-coating, and face unlock.
In terms of the connectivity options, the smartphone supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and micro USB. The device runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10, and it is backed on 4,000 mAh battery.
Pricing and availability
The 16GB storage variant is priced at ₹5,999 while 32GB storage variant will be yours for ₹6,199, but the company offers the device with ₹200 discount on both the variants as an introductory offer. The smartphone will go on sale from July 11 and it will be available via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
