HTC U12 Plus Receives Android Pie

The Taiwanese brand HTC unveiled HTC U12 Plus in last year, and the device came with Android Oreo 8.0 operating system. Well, now after one year the company finally started to roll out the latest version of Android i.e. Android 9.0, the update will start hitting the device from Taiwan.

The new build has number 2.45.709.1 and the update needs a 1.06GB download. The changelog isn’t particularly detailed, only mentioning system enhancements and the removal of Google+ from BlinkFeed. Having said that, the early testers of the latest update report bug issues and we hope that the company will fix and push the update smoothly and also bring the same to other parts of the world very soon.

Speaking about the HTC U12 Plus, it features a 6 Quad HD+ display and it is powered by Snapdragon 845 processor and paired with 6 GB of RAM, the device offers up to 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone also sports Quad camera setup which means dual cameras on the front as well as the back side. At back, you will get 12 megapixel + 16 megapixel camera sensor and front cameras will be offered in 8 megapixel + 8 megapixel camera sensors. Finally, the device ships on 3,500 mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0.
