The Chinese electronics giant Lenovo owned Motorola has launched its new smartphone in the Indian market and the device is called Motorola One which was originally unveiled in last at the IFA 2018 event. The smartphone is based on Android One and that is a special version of the operating system.
What is Android One?
This type of Android launched in 2014 in the Indian market, and it was meant for the low-end devices. Moreover, it also gives updates timely. Over the years, Android One has actually grown and it started powering the devices which have high-end features. The Android One also gives a stock Android experience and the devices which come with Android One gives two years of Android update and three years of security updates. Moreover, the Android One program is a paid service by Google, which means the smartphone brands which partners Google for the Android One program, the OEMs have to pay an amount as a fee. Having said that, with Android One, Google provides software development services to the brands who are not good in software building.
Specifications of Motorola One
The smartphone features a 5.99-inch HD+ Max Vision display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution and has 19:9 aspect ratio, it also features a notch on the top of the display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by 2.0 GHz octa core Snapdragon 625 processor and coupled with 4 GB RAM, along with Adreno 506 GPU for the graphical task. Talking about the storage, the smartphones comes with 64 GB of onboard storage and that can be expandable via microSD card.
Speaking about the photography, the Motorola One sports dual camera setup at back and that’s in the combination of 13 megapixel + 2 megapixel with Portrait Mode and LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front camera. Moreover, the device has a Google Lens. That said, the smartphone has a curved glass back and it also supports the fingerprint scanner.
For connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C. The device boots on Android Oreo 8.1 and it can be upgradable to Android 9.0. Finally, the device ships on 3,000 mAh battery with TurboCharging that offers 6 hours of power with just 20 minutes of charging.
