The Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is expected to launch new and innovative devices in the coming days, as the company already confirmed to the launch Vivo V15 Pro which has the pop-up camera setup and we also expect that the company will introduce something innovative at the upcoming MWC 2019 event. Well, ahead of all these, the company has launched a new device today and it is called Vivo U1.

Specification of Vivo U1

The Vivo U1 sports a 6.2 inch HD+ display with 1520 X 720 pixels resolution along with 19:9 aspect ratio and it also has a waterdrop like notch. The device is powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor and paired with 3 GB/4 GB RAM along with Adreno 505 GPU. In terms of storage, the 3GB RAM variant has 32 GB of internal storage and the device also has 64 GB storage variant and it will be available with both 3 GB and 4 GB RAM.

Regarding the camera department, the Vivo U1 rocks a dual camera set up at the back and that is in the combination of 13 megapixel (f/2.2 aperture) + 2 megapixel (f/2.4 aperture) with LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera with the f/2.0 aperture. Having said that, the front and rear cameras come with some AI-based features. The front camera also supports AR Stickers. The Vivo U1 supports fingerprint scanner and face unlock for the security of the users and it also supports features like eSports Mode 2.0, Jovi AI Digital Assistant, and Smart Desktop.

Speaking about the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, USB OTG, 3.5 mm headphone jack, GPS, and micro USB. The device runs on Funtouch OS 4.5 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and ships on 4,030 mAh battery to keep the lights on.

Pricing and availability of Vivo U1

The 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant is priced at ¥799 (approx. ₹8,440), the 3 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant has the price tag of ¥999 (approx. ₹10,550), and the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant is priced at ¥1199 (approx. ₹12,660). The device will be available in China and there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
