After tons of leaks and rumours, Samsung has finally unveiled its much anticipated foldable device called Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and the device is coming with a clamshell form factor. The company has launched the device at an event in San Francisco and the device looks really cool along with the great specifications. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: Specifications
The device is coming with dual screen and display features a 6.7 inches super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution along with HDR10+ and the secondary display offers a 1.1 inch super AMOLED display with 300 X 112 pixels resolution and the secondary display is meant to get the notification, call information, and time as well as date. Moreover, the device also comes with punch-hole set up at the centre and that will accumulate in the front facing camera under the screen.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor along with 8GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes with 256 GB of internal storage and there is no support for the microSD card.
Talking about the camera department, the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip rocks dual camera at back and that’s in a combination of a 12 megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture followed by a 12 megapixel sensor with the f/2.4 aperture and that will support Wide Angle shots along with dual pixel and OIS. The device will support a 10 megapixel dual pixel autofocus at the front for the selfies and video calls. The device also supports the fingerprint scanner at the side and it is also coming with stereo speakers which are tuned by AKG.
Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, aptX HD, and Type-C port. It runs on Android 10 out of the box with One UI 2.0, and the phone packs a 3,300mAh battery with only 15W charging.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: Pricing and availability
The device is priced at $1380 and it will available from February 14 in the selected markets. There is no information about the availability of the device in the market of India.
