The entire smartphone lovers are excited about the latest mid-rangers of Redmi – the Note 8 and the Note 8 Pro. The phones were launched in China and we have every information about them. So, let’s begin with the Note 8:
The note 8 features a 6.3 inched full HD panel with water drop (or dewdrop whatever you call it) notch. No, there is no AMOLED display and hence no in-display fingerprint scanner here unlike other competitors. Sad? The device is powered by powered by Snapdragon 665 processor which is paired with 4/6GB RAM and offers 64/128GB of internal storage.
It has a 4,000 mAh battery which will, of course, last you a whole day. Also the USB Type-C and 18 watts fast charging acts as an icing on the cake. Talking about the cameras, Redmi Note 8 has a 13MP front camera and has a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP sensor along with 8MP ultra wide lens, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP lens for depth sensing. It also supports Fingerprint scanner and IR Blaster.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the 4 GB + 64 GB variant is priced at 999 Yuan, the 6 GB + 64 GB costs 1,199 Yuan, and the 6 GB + 128 GB has the price tag of 1,399 Yuan. The smartphone will available in China from 17th September.
Coming to the Note 8 Pro, it features a 6.53 inch full HD panel with waterdrop (or dewdrop whatever you call it) notch. It has a 4,500 mAh battery. Also we get the USB Type-C and 18 watts fast charging here too.
Regarding the cameras, the Pro variant has a 2MP front camera and has a quad-camera setup at back and that’s in the combination of a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor along with 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP lens for depth sensing. It also supports Fingerprint scanner and IR Blaster.
So, now about the most important part, the processor. Well, the Note 8 Pro has got Mediatek’s new G90T chipset which is more powerful than the mid-range Snapdragon chipsets. It has the 6/64 GB variant and the 6/128 GB variant and 8/128 GB variant.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the 6 GB + 64 GB variant is priced at 1,399 Yuan, the 6 GB + 128 GB costs 1,599 Yuan, and the 8 GB + 128 GB will be yours for 1,799 Yuan. The smartphone will available in China from 3rd September.
