Finally, OnePlus has launched its much-anticipated smartphone called OnePlus Nord and the same is the most affordable phone of the brand, the company has announced the device via an Augmented Reality event and that makes the first brand to utilize this technology to announce its new product. OnePlus launched the device with Quad rear camera setup along with a dual front facing cameras, this makes the device to offer 6 cameras in total which is happening for the first time in the history of the brand.
Specifications of OnePlus Nord
The device features a 6.44 inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and ii also offers a 90Hz refresh rate along with the 20:9 aspect ratio, it is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and supports night mode, reading mode along with the video enhancer. You will also get a dual punch-hole at the left corner of the screen and that’s to accommodate the front camera. Under the hood, the newly announced OnePlus Nord is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor along with Adreno 620 GPU for the graphical task and the device also comes with up to 12 GB LPDDR4x of RAM along with up to 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
Coming to the photography department, the latest smartphone features a quad rear camera setup that is in the combination of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens, it comes with optical image stabilization (OIS), followed by an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle lens that has a field of view (FoV) of 119 degrees, along with a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 5-megapixel depth lens. The smartphone is also offering a dual front facing camera and that is in the combination of a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 primary sensor with an f/2.45 aperture and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.45 ultra-wide-angle lens that has an FoV of 105 degrees.
The camera department will also offer features like UltraShot HDR, Nightscape, Super Macro, Portrait, Pro Mode, Panorama, AI scene detection, RAW Image, and Ultra-Wide Selfie. The smartphone also supports 4K video recording at 30fps or 1080p at 30 or 60fps, and the same is also capable to capture super slow motion videos at 240fps along with 1080p resolution or time-lapse shots in both 4K and 1080p resolutions at 30fps frame rate.
For security, the smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner along with the face unlock to provide an extra layer of security. Regarding the connectivity options, the latest OnePlus Nord supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone runs Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.5 and the same packs 4,115 mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology.
Pricing and availability
The price starts at ₹24,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant while the 8GB + 128GB storage variant costs ₹27,999 and the 12GB + 256GB storage variant comes with a price tag of ₹29,999. The device will available in the market of India from August 4 via Amazon India and the official website but only the 8GB variant will be available in the initial stage.
