After making the smartphone lovers awaited finally the Lenovo owned Motorola has unveiled its new modular smartphone called Moto Z3 and the company has also launched the 5G Moto Mod alongside the smartphone. So, let’s check out the specification, pricing, and availability details of the newly launched device and Mod.
Design of Moto Z3
The device comes with the smaller bezels along with a glass back and the frames ate made out of 6000 series polished aluminium, and the device has a Water repellent p2i coating.
Specification of Moto Z3
It sports a 6.01-inch Full-HD+ Max Vision Super AMOLED display and 2.5D curved glass atop and protected with Gorilla Glass 3. The Moto Z3 also has an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by 2.35 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and paired with 4 GB of RAM, along with Adreno 540 GPU. Now talking about the storage, it has 64 GB of internal storage and it can be expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card.
Coming to the camera, the Moto Z3 has dual camera setup at the back which is in the combination of 12 megapixel (RGB, f/2.0) + 12 megapixel (Monochrome) with PDAF, Portrait Mode, Object Recognition, Manual Mode and dual-LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree wide-angle lens, Portrait Mode, Manual Mode and screen flash. The smartphone also features with its own features like Moto Display and Moto Actions along with the Motorola’s one-button navigation which will allow various gestures. Moreover, it supports the fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock. along with the Google Lens. That said, the company has implemented the fingerprint scanner at the right side of the device.
In terms of connectivity, it features 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and USB Type-C. The device will run on Android Oreo 8.1 and it will get two future Android version updates. Finally, the smartphone ships on 3,000 mAh with 15W Turbo Charging.
5G Moto Mod
This 5G will make Moto Z3 as the 5G enabled smartphone. In this way, the Moto Z3 will be the “first 5G-upgradable phone”. Moreover, the new Mod also has a built-in 2,000 mAh battery and with this you will able to charge the Moto Z3 on-the-go.
Pricing and availability
- The Moto Z3 is priced at $480 (approx. ₹33,015), and it can be bought on contract by paying $20/month for 24 months.
- Pricing of the 5G Moto Mod is not revealed.
- The Moto Z3 will be available in the US from August 16.
- 5G Moto Mod will be available in the US from next year.
- Both the devices will be exclusive on Verizon.
