The sub-brand of Vivo has unveiled the IQOO 8 series in the market of China. The names of the smartphones are IQOO 8 and IQOO 8 Pro. Both the devices have several upgrades over the previous generation. They support high refresh rate displays with 10-bit colour. Features of IQOO 8 Pro
The IQOO 8 Pro supports a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ 10-Bit OLED Display with Samsung E5 LTPO technology. The refresh rate is 120Hz.
The company has included HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support with peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The gadget packs Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888+ 5G chipset that’s built on a 5nm process with Adreno 660 GPU. There are 8+256GB and 12+256/512GB storage options. It supports LPDDR5 RAM and has UFS 3.1 storage. It is based on Android 11 with OriginOS on top.
Regarding the camera department, the mobile phone supports a 50MP IMX766 primary sensor with f1.8 lens and 5-axis gimbal stabilization. Besides, IQOO 8 Pro comes with a 48MP ultrawide angle sensor with f2.2 lens and a 16MP telephoto sensor with f2.2 lens (optical zoom range not revealed). There is a 16MP selfie shooter with f2.4 lens. The main camera records videos up to 8K at 30fps. Moreover, the front camera can record video up to just 1080p at 30fps.
It houses a 4,500mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The company has included in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. Coming to 5G. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and Type-C port.

The IQOO 8 features a 6.56-inch Full HD+ 10-Bit OLED Display with HDR10 support but lacks Dolby Vision. The refresh rate is 120Hz. It houses a Snapdragon 888 5G chipset with Adreno 660 GPU. This one also runs on Android 11 with OriginOS on top.
Speaking about the camera department, the IQOO 8 features a triple camera setup. It consists of a 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor, a 13MP ultrawide sensor but with better 120° FOV. There is a 13MP telephoto sensor as well. It sports the same 16MP shooter as the Pro model.
This IQOO 8 is backed by a 4,350mAh battery with the same 120W wired charging. Moreover, features like in-display fingerprint, stereo speakers, and connectivity options are the same as Pro.

IQOO 8 (8+1258GB) is priced at CNY 3,799, while IQOO 8 (12+256GB) costs CNY 4,199. The pricing tag of the IQOO 8 Pro with 8+256GB model is CNY 4,999. The 12+256GB storage model costs CNY 5,499. The 12+512GB version comes with CNY 5,999. The IQOO 8 is available from today till 24th August. We can buy the IQOO 8 Pro from 26th August.
