Huawei, the Chinese company, has debuted the new Huawei P50 series in the market. The company has introduced two devices, and they are the Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro. The pro model supports Snapdragon 888. Let’s check the pricing, availability and features of the Huawei P50 Series.

Features of Huawei P50 Pro

The latest and greatest Huawei P50 Pro sports a 6.6-inch full-HD+ OLED curved display. Moreover, it also supports 1,228×2,700 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen.

The device also consists of a 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, 450ppi pixel density, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and P3 wide colour gamut coverage. It comes with two processor options – HiSilicon Kirin 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. It has up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The company has included the Nano Memory card for storage expansion.

Regarding the camera department, it supports a quad camera setup. The gadget consists of a 50-megapixel primary colour camera (f/1.8) with optical image stabilisation (OIS), and a 40-megapixel monochrome lens (f/1.6). Besides, it features a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens  (f/2.2), and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera ( f/3.5). The company has included 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. There is a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Huawei P50 Pro is based on HarmonyOS 2. It is backed by a 4,360mAh battery with 66W Wired Super Fast Charge and 50W Wireless Super Fast Charge. The handset also supports wireless charging. It is IP68-rated water and dust resistant as well.

Speaking of the connectivity options, the device houses 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C port, and NFC. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor along with the traditional security options. 

Features of Huawei P50

Huawei P50 sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ OLED display. Moreover, the display comes with 1,224×2,700 pixels resolution and 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen. The display also features 300Hz touch sampling rate, 458ppi pixel density, 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, and P3 wide colour gamut coverage.

The handset packs a Snapdragon 888 SoC, with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Besides, it features Nano Memory card support for storage expansion.

Talking to the camera department, the mobile phone supports a triple camera setup. It is the combination of a 50-megapixel main camera  (f/1.8), and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor ( f/2.2), and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture and OIS. It features 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom as well. It has the same selfie camera as the Pro model. 

The base of the device is HarmonyOS 2. It is supported by a 4,100mAh battery with 66W Wired Super Fast Charge. Besides, we get IP68-rated water and dust resistant devices. The other specifications are the same as the Pro model.

Pricing and availability

The Huawei P50 Pro costs CNY 5,988 for 8GB + 128GB storage model. Regarding the price tag of 8GB + 256GB is CNY 6,488. Moreover, the 8GB + 512GB model comes with a price tag of CNY 7,488. The 12GB + 512GB storage and Kirin 9000 SoC — one is priced at CNY 7,988 CNY 8,488 respectively.
