The popularity of WhatsApp is just beyond the words, as it is the most loved instant messaging application on this planet. Well, today the company has started to roll out the most wanted and wished feature by billions of users. As WhatsApp rolling out the group video and audio calling feature for both Android and IOS platform.
Well, the company announced the group calling feature early in May during the F8 Developer Conference event. And since late May, the company started testing the feature with a limited number of the users and after the two months of testing today the world’s most favorite instant messaging app made it official.
How to enable the feature on WhatsApp
You can start a group call with very easy steps, all you have to start a one-on-one voice or video call first, after that simply tap on the “add participant” button which is located at the top-right corner of the screen. Having said that, the maximum number of people is ‘Four’ for a group call, I believe that the company will increase the number of people in future updates of the WhatsApp.
Moreover, just like the messages, the group calls also have the end-to-end encrypted, which means all the calls are limited with and the person who is at the other end, and no one can listen to what you are talking. Furthermore, WhatsApp also claims that the group call is developed to “work reliably around the world in different network conditions”. Apart from this, the company also announced that over 2 Billion minutes are spends on daily basis.
