Samsung unveils Galaxy S22 Series

Finally, during its Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event, South Korean electronics giant Samsung presented the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The brand has unveiled its new flagship smartphones, which have an eye-catching design and powerful features. All of Samsung’s current Smartphones include the latest and greatest Snapdragon flagship mobile chipset, and the smartphones come pre-installed with Android 12 out of the box. Users will also get the S Pen with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which will also contain a slot to keep the stylus safe on the board.

It’s worth noting that the new Samsung Galaxy S22 is the first Galaxy S series phone to feature a S Pen. So, without further ado, let’s dive right into the article and learn everything there is to know about Samsung’s new Galaxy S22 series.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Specifications

The standard version of the series is the Samsung Galaxy S22, which has a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and an Armor Aluminium body. Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield is also built into the smartphone’s display, which protects your eyes from blue light. It also includes a punch hole setup in the screen’s centre. The Samsung Galaxy S22 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile engine, as well as 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1).

With a 3,700mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy S22 supports 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. Out of the box, the device runs Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ has a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield for blue light control, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,750 nits, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 120 nits. A punch hole is also included in the gadget, which is located in the centre of the screen. It’s also equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which can support up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1).

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra  Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the series’ most luxury smartphone, and it’s also the first S-series phone to include a S Pen. The S Pen has a 70 percent reduced latency than the S Pen. It also features a big 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a punch hole configuration in the screen’s centre, which is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The smartphone’s display has a peak brightness of 1,750 nits and is equipped with updated Wacom technology.

The Samsung Galaxy S22, like the other two smartphones in the series, is powered by an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12 GB of RAM. The tablet comes with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a quad rear camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens and support for 3x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/4.9 aperture lens and 10x optical zoom. With AI Super Resolution technology, the camera department also offers Space Zoom, which has a 10x optical zoom and a 10x digital zoom. On the front, the gadget has a 40-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens.

5G, 4G LTE, UWB, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port are all supported by the smartphone. The display is also equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery with a 45W fast charging solution, as well as 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. It’s based on Android 12 and has One UI 4.1 on top of it.

Pricing and Availability 

The proposed Samsung Galaxy S22 pricing starts at $799, with the Galaxy S22 Plus starting at $999 and the Galaxy S22 Ultra starting at $1,199. From February 25, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be available. Unfortunately, there is no information on the smartphone series’ availability in India at this time.
