The popular Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has unveiled the Oppo R17, And the device crowns few special things. As it comes with the new Gorilla Glass 6, which was announced in last month and the company powers the device with this Snapdragon 670 processor and Oppo R17 is the first device to have this chipset.
It sports 6.4 inch Full HD+ display along with 19:9 aspect ratio and has 2280 X 1080 pixels resolution. That said, it has has a Waterdrop Screen, that is a different notch than the other we have seen on recently launched smartphones, and this makes the device looks similar to the Oppo F9.
Coming to the hood, It is powered by 1.7 GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 670 processor and paired with 8 GB of RAM along with Adreno 615 for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device has 128 GB of internal storage and it can be expandable via MicroSD card.
Talking about the camera department, it has a dual camera setup and it is in the combination of 16 megapixel + 5 megapixel with LED flash, along with a 25 megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 3D Portrait mode with AI-powered Beauty mode. For security, the device is also coming the in display fingerprint scanner.
Regarding the connectivity, the device supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and that is based on ColorOS 5.2 and it is backed on 3500 mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, it is priced at ¥3499 (approx. ₹35,621), and it will be available in China from August 30. Having said that, there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
