Oppo A36 Unveiled

Oppo, a prominent Chinese smartphone brand, has unveiled its latest handset, the Oppo A36, which features a dual back camera arrangement and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 mobile engine. The brand has also released a smartphone with a matte glass back that contains millions of crystalline structures.

 Oppo A36 Specifications

The new device has a 6.56-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels, as well as a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen also has a punch-hole in the top left corner and covers 96 percent of the NTSC colour gamut as well as 100% of the DCI-P3 colour range. The smartphone also has a screen-to-body ratio of 89.9% and can give up to 600 nits of brightness.

It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be upgraded using a micro SD card. It is based on Android 11.1 and is called ColorOS 11.1

In terms of the camera, the gadget has a dual-camera configuration on the rear with a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. A front-facing 8MP camera is also included with the gadget.

Oppo’s latest smartphone features dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS (BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS), USB Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack. A fingerprint sensor is also located on the device’s side.

The Oppo A36 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging, which is pretty slow.

Pricing and Availability

Shipping of the device will commence on January 13 for a price tag of ¥1,599.
