OnePlus has launched its latest mid-range smartphone called OnePlus Nord 2 5G and it is the successor of the last year’s OnePlus Nord 5G. The latest device is also the first phone of the brand after the merging with Oppo and the device also features a MediaTek processor and that is also happening for the first time in the portfolio of OnePlus.
The latest device is coming with massive improvements compared to the predecessor and the smartphone got a big jump in battery and performance. The smartphone is also the first OnePlus phone to come with the new integrated codebase with ColorOS. Specifications of OnePlus Nord 2 5G
The smartphone features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a punch-hole set up at the top left corner of the screen. It also offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate along with HDR 10+ certification. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core custom MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI SoC, and that is matted with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM along with up to 256 GB of internal storage.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest OnePlus Nord 2 5G features a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with an f/1.88 lens and optical image stabilisation (OIS), along with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.25 ultra-wide lens that has a field of view (FoV) of 119.7 degrees and is paired with electronic image stabilisation (EIS), and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.5 lens. On the front, the device features a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.45 lens. The camera department also features 4K video recording at 30fps frame rate along with Super Slow Motion video recording on 1080p at 120fps, Time-Lapse, Video editor. It is also coming with Nightscape Ultra, AI Photo Enhancement, AI Video Enhancement, UltraShot HDR, Portrait Mode, Dual Video, and a Pro Mode as well.
The smartphone also supports an in-display fingerprint scanner along with the traditional security options. Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
The device also features dual stereo speakers along with noise cancellation support on board. The device is running on Android 11 with OxygenOS 11.3 on top and the custom skin is notably based on Oppo’s ColorOS 11.3.
OnePlus Nord 2 packs a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery that supports Warp Charge 65 and it is worth mentioning that the charger is coming inside the box.

The pricing of the smartphone starts at ₹27,999 for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant while the 8GB + 128GB option is priced at ₹29,999 and 12GB RAM + 256GB model costs ₹34,999.
