The developers of Google always keep themselves busy to make things easier to its users, the company has an online music streaming service through the application called YouTube Music. Now it seems that Google wants to merge the offline as well as online music service into one application.

Currently, Google Play Music allows users to play their local stored tracks. But with the latest update, YouTube Music can do the same. The company has started to roll out the feature to a small number of users, and the latest update will be available on the Android platform.

Having said that, there are certain limitations at this moment of time. It will not allow adding local tracks to playlists or queues that include YouTube Music songs, and you can’t cast local songs elsewhere. And the playback controls also remove YouTube-specific features such as the like and unlike button.
