After being in the headlines on the pages of the internet, the highly anticipated Nothing Phone 1 smartphone has been officially announced globally. Nothing has introduced the device with an innovative design as it is featuring a transparent back panel along with LED strips. The device is featuring a 50 megapixel primary sensor on the back along with the power of the Snapdragon mobile processor. It is running on Android 12 out of the box and the company is promising to deliver three major Android updates. The device will be available in India via Flipkart and it is coming with aggressive pricing as well. The device is coming with the Glyph interface and the same is made up of over 900 LEDs and the same can offer notification lights that will enable you to know that you received a notification. Nothing Phone 1 features a 6.55-inch OLED Full HD+ AMOLED display along with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 500 nits typical brightness, 1,200 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and 10-bit colour. It also features a punch-hole setup at the top left corner of the screen and the same has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ mobile processor with the Adreno 642L GPU, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Nothing Phone 1 smartphone is housing a 4,500mAh battery along with 33W fast charging technology and the company claims that the device will be fully charged within an hour. The device also has a 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging solution.
The device is running on Android 12 with Nothing OS which is pretty close to stock Android. The company is also promising to deliver three years of major Android updates and 4 years of security patches every 2 months.
Speaking about the camera department, the Nothing Phone 1 offers a dual camera on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.56 inch sensor size along with optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization. It is also featuring a 16-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide sensor with 114 degrees field of view. Up front, the smartphone offers a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies and video calls. For connectivity, it has 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, and Type-C port.
