After many leaks and rumours, Motorola finally unveiled its new smartphones called Motorola Edge and Motorola Edge+, the smartphones are coming with amazing specifications and design. Having said that, Motorola is coming with a proper reply to the category of flagship after a long period of time. Let’s start with the vanilla variant, the brand new Motorola Edge is coming with 6.7 inch full HD+ curved OLED display with 2340 X 1080 pixels resolution, and it also offers 19:5:9 aspect ratio along with 90Hz refresh rate, the smartphone also comes with a punch-hole setup and offers a 95.9% screen to body ratio. Talking about the internals, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 765 processor along with 4/6 GB of RAM and the Adreno 620 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device comes with 128 GB of internal with UFS 2.1 and it can be expandable via microSD card.

Coming to the + variant, the latest and greatest Motorola Edge+, it shares the display specifications with the vanilla variant but it also comes with HDR10+, which means you guys can able to enjoy high definition contents on the popular online streaming platforms. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with 12 GB of RAM and Adreno 650 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device comes with 256 GB internal storage and that can be expandable via microSD card up to 1TB.

Both the Motorola Edge and Edge+ boots on Android 10, along with add-ons. Motorola offers functional features on the curve and users can swipe on the edge to check notifications or quickly switch apps. The edge will also display the battery charging status and notifications for incoming calls, messages, and alarms. The curved portion of the edge offers two customizable buttons at the top and bottom that can be used as triggers while gaming in landscape mode.

The company also features My UX hub in the Moto app and the same allows users to customize fonts, colours, icon shapes, and fingerprint sensor animations. It will also allow users to create a custom theme that will be available even inside the notification drawer. Motorola Edge series also said to offer the Waves-tuned dual stereo speakers.

Pricing and availability

The company didn’t reveal the pricing of the Motorola Edge, while the Motorola Edge+ is priced at $999 and the same will go on sale from May 14 via Verizon. The Motorola Edge is due to go on sale ‘this summer’. Unfortunately, there is no information about the availability of the devices in other parts of the world.
