The Indian smartphone brand Micromax which toppled from the pinnacle a few years back with the arrival of the Chinese has returned with the new Micromax IN Series smartphones. These smartphones are placed in the sub budget category and offer aggressive pricing, to begin with. Along with the attractive pricing, these come with a promise of 2 Years software update and runs on stock Android. Let us see the specifications and features of the new IN Series smartphones – Micromax IN Note 1 and IN 1B.
Micromax IN Note 1
The smartphone features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution along with a 21:9 aspect ratio and also offers a punch-hole setup at the centre of the display. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 and the device is paired with 4GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device will available with 64GB or 128 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for expansion of storage.
Moving to the camera department, the Micromax IN Note 1 features a quad rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor followed by a 5-megapixel camera with 115-degree Ultra-wide lens. Lastly, it houses two 2 megapixel sensors, for macro shots and portrait shots. On the front side, it comes with a 16-megapixel sensor. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back for the additional layer of security.
Regarding the connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and GPS. It will ship with a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It runs stock Android 10 and the company guarantees two years of software updates.

It features a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop like notch on the top of the screen, it also comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered with the Helio G35 octa-core SoC. The smartphones matted with 2/4 GB of RAM and 32/64GB internal storage. The smartphone also allows users to expand the storage via microSD card.
Moving to the camera department, the Micromax IN 1B rocks dual rear camera setup – 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth lens along with an LED flash. It also features an 8-megapixel front camera. The same also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports upports dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. It packed with 5,000 mAh battery and 10W charger in the box. The smartphone boots Stock Android 10 OS.
Pricing and Availability
The Micromax IN Note 1 is priced at INR 10,999 for the 4+64GB variant and the 4+128GB version is priced at INR 12,499. The pre-orders start from today and it will be available via Flipkart and via Micromax website from November 24.
The Micromax IN 1B starts at INR 6,999 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version is priced at INR 7,999. The device will available via Flipkart and the official website of the company from November 26.
