The Canadian brand BlackBerry unveiled the BlackBerry KEY2 in the early days of June, well, now the company has launched the device in the Indian shores. It is the successor of BlackBerry KEYOne which was launched in last year, but the device comes with improvements.
The BlackBerry KEY2 features a physical QWERTY keyboard, along with the touch-sensitive and it also allows for the navigation. That said, the device has a ‘Speed Key’ which gives shortcut access to various functions. Let’s check out the specification details of the device.
Specification
The BlackBerry KEY2 sports 4.5 inch 2.5D curved glass display and have 1620 x 1080 pixels resolution, along with the protection of Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 2.2 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and paired with 6 GB RAM, along with Adreno 512 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device has two storage variants – 64/128 GB, and it can be expandable upto 256 GB via microSD card.
Speaking about the camera department, the BlackBerry KEY2 has a dual camera setup at the back which is in the combination of 12 megapixel (f/1.8 aperture, Dual PDAF, 1.28 μm pixel size) + 12 megapixel (f/2.6 aperture, PDAF, 1.0 μm pixel size) with Optical Superzoom, Portrait Mode, HDR, 4K video recording at 30 FPS, and dual-tone LED flash. The device also has an 8 megapixel with Selfie Flash via LCD display.
For security, the device supports the fingerprint scanner and the BlackBerry DTEK Security Suite. Regarding the connectivity, the device also supports dual SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB OTG, 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB Type-C 3.0, and GPS. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.1, and the whole device is backed on 3,500 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.

Speaking about the pricing and availability details of the device, the smartphone’s price starts at ₹42,990 and it will be available from July 31 through Amazon India.
