Asus Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip Launched In The Market

Finally, the smartphone giant, Asus has launched two new smartphones Asus Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip in the market. Zenfone 8 Flip launches with a flip-camera setup like its predecessor. Moreover, Asus Zenfone 8 is the smallest Android flagship. Both the smartphones are coming with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and a high refresh rate. Features of Asus Zenfone 8

The handset supports a 5.9-inch E4 AMOLED Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the touch sampling rate is 240Hz as, well as the aspect ratio is 20:9. Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus protects the display. It also supports HDR10+ certification, 1,100 nits of peak brightness, and it covers 112% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The device launches with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and 6GB/8GB or 16GB of RAM. The internal storage is either 128GB or 256GB options. It features an under-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 dust, and water resistance.

Regarding the camera department, the handset packs a dual-camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. It also has a 12MP IMX363 macro sensor that supports Dual Pixel Autofocus enabling, it to focus close up to 4cm. There is a selfie camera on the front with a 12MP IMX663 sensor that supports Dual Pixel AF. Besides, it comes with OZO Audio Zoom and Noise reduction tech.

In terms of the connectivity, the device houses USB 2.0, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6E. It has the upgraded audio hardware that includes a 3.5mm audio jack that supports dual linear speakers with dual Cirrus Logic mono amps (CS35L45) and Dirac HD Sound support. It is based on Android 11 with ZenUI 8 on top. The smartphone has the support of a 4,000mAh battery that supports 30W HyperCharge and USB PD.

The handset supports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, an HDR10+ rating, and a peak brightness of 700 nits. It features a 90Hz refresh rate and 200 Hz touch sampling. It has the protection of Gorilla Glass 6. The smartphone has launched with the Snapdragon 888 SoC, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The company offers an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

Talking about the camera department, it supports the  triple rear camera at the back. It consists of a 64MP primary sensor along with the combination of a 12MP IMX363 sensor that is with an ultra-wide-angle lens. Besides, there is an 8MP telephoto OmniVision sensor that supports 3x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom. 

The connectivity options are the same as Asus Zenfone 8. Zenfone 8 Flip features Bluetooth, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and a headphone jack. It spurts stereo speakers with dedicated NXP mono amps tuned by Dirac Research and has Hi-Res Audio certification. It is supported by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W HyperCharge. The company also gives an Active Case to protect the flip camera module from vibration and environment.

The Asus Zenfone 8 comes with €700 with a discount of €100 for a limited time. The Asus Zenfone 8 Flip price range starts at €800. Both handsets will be available first in Europe and Taiwan.
