Oppo Reno 17 Series Leaks Unveil Flagship-Challenging Specs for Tech Enthusiasts
Anticipation is building as Oppo gears up to launch its new Oppo Reno 17 series in China this month. Recent leaks have shed significant light on the specifications, offering tech and mobile enthusiasts a preview of what to expect from these upcoming devices.
A standout feature for both models in the series is the rumored inclusion of a 50MP periscope camera. This suggests a strong focus on advanced telephoto capabilities, potentially offering impressive zoom performance, a key differentiator for mobile photography aficionados. While details on the primary and ultra-wide sensors remain undisclosed, the periscope lens alone signals a premium imaging experience.
Display sizes vary between the two variants; the standard Oppo Reno 17 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch screen, while the Reno 17 Pro surprisingly opts for a slightly more compact 6.3-inch display. Power users will be particularly interested in the battery capacities: the vanilla Reno 17 is rumored to pack an extraordinary 8,000mAh-class battery, with the Pro model still boasting a substantial 7,200mAh-class unit. These capacities promise extended usage times, a crucial factor for mobile enthusiasts on the go.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 17 is reportedly powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 mobile processor, indicating robust performance for everyday tasks and gaming. The Reno 17 Pro, on the other hand, is said to leverage MediaTek’s Dimensity 8550 processor, suggesting a potentially different performance profile tailored for high-end users demanding superior computational power.
Storage configurations will cater to various user needs, offering options including 8GB RAM paired with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a top-tier 12GB RAM alongside 512GB storage. These generous options ensure ample space for apps, media, and demanding mobile games. As the official launch approaches, tech enthusiasts eagerly await Oppo’s formal unveiling to confirm these promising specifications.
