Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 750G,

Qualcomm is one of the world’s leading chipset makers for smart devices. In this era of 5G, their urge is to bring technology to the lowest price point possible. In accordance with this plan, the company is on its way to introduce multiple 5G chipsets that are cheaper. The newest entry to the lot is the Snapdragon 750G.

Speaking of connectivity, it supports mmWave 5G, to begin with, and poses as a successor to the Snapdragon 730G. It brings AI-powered noise suppression and support for 120fps gaming. It stands below Snapdragon 765G but one step above Snapdragon 690. It’s based on 8nm architecture and comes with a modem, which is used in its big brother, SD765G. This makes it faster than SD690 (X51 modem) and is able to touch peak download speeds of 3.7 Gbps as compared to 2.5 Gbps on the 690. As mentioned it supports mmWave and Sub-6 5G and also brings in multi-SIM 5G support.

Moving to performance, the Snapdragon 750G has an octa-core Kryo 570 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz that delivers 20% more performance than the S730G processor. The ISP supports 4K HDR10 video recording with HLG and 4K HDR with a bokeh effect. The Adreno 619 GPU  inside is 10% faster than its predecessor. As for the refresh rate, it supports up to 120 Hz in combination with up to 1080P resolution. Game Color Plus and Adreno HDR Fast Blend onboard vouch for efficient rendering of HDR10 graphics.

The is 10% faster than the S730G GPU and supports 120 Hz displays (up to 1080p+ resolution). Game Color Plus and Adreno HDR Fast Blend are on board for efficient rendering of HDR10 graphics. Focusing on AI, it offers 4.0 TOPS, which is  20% more than the SD 730G. The improved AI helps in Qualcomm Aqstic Echo Cancellation and Noise Suppression (ECNS) technology, which can block background noises with a single mic. This is useful especially now, as conference calls are becoming a daily routine. It boasts of the ability to boost whisper-level input to comfortably audible levels. The AI engine can also give Snapchat filters a better look because of it.

According to Xiaomi, they are working on a smartphone with the new Snapdragon 750G and will unveil the same before the end of the year.
