Google Rolls Out September Security Patch

Well, as a new month started the search engine giant Google has rolled out the September security update for the compatible devices. The September 5, 2018, includes fixes for almost 60 vulnerabilities that were found in the AOSP repository. Moreover, the update also includes the in-car Bluetooth performance improvement for the Pixel devices.

The company has rolled out the September security patch to the Pixels, Nexus, and Essential devices and September 1, 2018 fixed 24 problems and other another one is September 5, 2018, update and includes an additional 35 problems the most serious issue was in the media Framework before the patch and now the users of the device can relax, as the company has fixed that issue as well.

Having said that, the company will roll out the update via over-the-air (OTA) and if you cannot wait for that then you can flash the builds to your device or sideload the OTA update. Here are the full download and OTA links.

Having said that, the Essential also released the September Android security update for the Essential Phone. The update is available through an OTA package and is 81.4MB in size. You can check its availability by going to Settings > Software updates.
