Android 12 is now available for the Asus ZenFone 7 and Asus ZenFone 7 Pro. The Asus smartphone software update includes new features as well as fixes for certain common difficulties. The update has already been released by the Taiwanese business, and it will be available to all Asus ZenFone 7 series smartphones in the coming days. The Android 12 update for the Asus ZenFone 8 and Asus ZenFone 8 Flip was released in December 2021.
The ZenTalk community forum announced the release of the latest update for Asus smartphones. It updates both the Asus ZenFone 7 and the Asus ZenFone 7 Pro to firmware version 31.0210.0210.250. Asus has updated its smartphones with new features such as an altered quick settings panel, notification tray, and volume panel.
In the launcher, Asus has also included a new widget page design. Furthermore, Asus Safeguard has been replaced by the native Emergency SOS function, and the SIP calling feature has been deleted from the Asus Phone app for some reason. Mobile manager, contacts, data transfer, local backup, setup wizard, system update, and other apps have all been updated. This current update also includes a privacy dashboard, camera and microphone indicators, approximate position access, and microphone access.
Aside from that, the company advises customers to make a data backup before updating to Android 12. It’s worth noting that if you downgrade to Android 11 using an official software package, all of your data will be lost. In this instance, having a backup will be beneficial.
As previously said, the updates will be sent out in stages, with all devices receiving the update soon. Users with an eligible Asus smartphone can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates.
